Acts 11:23
[He] encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord. Barnabas was known as the "Son of Encouragement" for always having a word of encouragement for those who needed it. This is such an easy thing to do if we keep it in mind. A hug here a positive word there. Often it is all that is needed to make someone's day. Let's try to be a light to someone who needs it.

Hi Karen,
Because I have been in the pit of despair more than once or twice, I know how much a little encouragement can totally change my day. Just a few kind words makes a huge difference to a person. Now, being an encourager blesses me. Giving to someone comes back and helps me.
