Hi all!
I am going to have a lovely weekend. First, Saturday morning, my church is having our annual Ladies Christmas Tea. This is a huge evangelistic event for the ladies. We invite our friends for tea, cookies and light snacks. There is special music, and a message focused around the birth of our Lord. Many woman who no longer attend our church show up and it is like a huge family reunion.
Then, I got a surprise phone call on Thursday from my son, Chris, in New York. His wife is the one touring with Les Miserables. Anyway, I haven't seen her since January, at least in person. She has been on vacation in New York this week, and they are coming into town Saturday afternoon, so I can show her my new apartment. Plus, my son last saw my apartment the day I moved in, and it was full of boxes all over the place.
So, I blitzed the place. I had been keeping it spotless, until I had my toe surgery. Then, when I got home from Michigan, I was so weak from my anemia. Well, I put up my tree last night. Mopped the kitchen floor too. Today, I took tons of stuff down to the basement. Mopped my living room floor. Then, I cleaned up my kitchen. Finally, tonight, I organized my bedroom, the storage area for all my Christmas presents, dusted and vacuumed, and took more stuff to the basement.
Now, I am wiped out.
Please be in prayer for the tea on Saturday. I invited my sponsor, and she seems open to the Lord. I have been trying to get her to join me at church since she has sponsored me in AA several years ago. She helped me unpack my kitchen, the day I moved in, and she was impressed by all the people who came from my church to help me move. What a testimony to her and my sister.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
