 Hi and Welcome,
I am Trish, divorced mother of three grown children, grandmother of two beautiful children.

I am usually a regular poster, but have been sick lately, and rarely on the computer.

I have not reached goal weight yet.  I hit a rough patch in 2007, and had a regain.  Only recently, I started to lose again.

Please be a regular poster.  Karen and I seem to be the only regulars.

Hugs,
Trish

Welcome, welcome always good to see a new face! Yes it seems Trish and I are the only regulars but hey ya gotta start somewhere. I'm 61 yrs old, married to an awesome guy who loves me fat or skinny. We have I think last count 5 grand kids and 7 great grands.
Have you been on the lapband board yet? I really suggest you at least read it for awhile. The band has a pretty bad reputation and is the slowest weight loss surgery plus if you have a lot of weight to lose it often doesn't help you get to goal. I just want to warn you it's not all it's cracked up to be. I got mine in 2007 and I have only lost 40ish pounds but have gained alot of it back. My band constantly kept tightening so I finally had it emptied, I still have it but there is no fluid in it. It still keeps me from chowing down too much but never did reach a good restriction level. If you are a volume eater you may have a chance of it working but if you have any food addiction issues or other things that have caused you to be over weight it probably won't do any good.
Anyway I'll get off my soap box and say I hope you will post often, we need more sharing here.

Hello sister!  Praying that God's word will encourage you to lose the weight you wish to lose to enable you to have the wls of your choice.  My prayer is that insurance companies will also expand what they will cover for WLS.  My current insurance carrier will only cover the lapband procedure.  With obesity being at an all time high in the country you would think they would increase their coverage to cut down on their expenses associated with obesity.

I pray that you have much success in your WL quest
