Why me?
Now there's a question I ask several hundred times a day anymore! It seems like the drama just never ends, now I have bronchitis along with the MAC bacteria that I'll need 12-18 mos of 4 different antibiotics. Also some thing came up off on blood work my neurologist did. Some days I really just want to crawl in a hole and sleep the rest of my life away. But we all know that won't solve anything. Even IF I could understand the whys of God I still couldn't change them so for the forseeable future I have no choice but to trust God and His wisdom to deal with my life. There IS a reaon for what I go thru, I have to believe that and continue in faith that God is on His throne and ruling His world and no amount of my whinning is going to change that! Have a wonderful weekend, looks like rain here but the leaves are just beautiful now.
God bless!

I have asked that about my alcoholism/addictions a great deal. My therapist tells me that my emotional issues and addictions allow me to have empathy for others like me, so I am better able to minister to them.
I was mentored by a dear Christian woman who had survived breast cancer for many years, and the day she learned the cancer had returned to her lungs and brain her husband died from complications from surgery. This couple had been pillars of my church. Her grace and dignity throughout the remainder of the time she had left here was so evident in her. She was in a wheelchair at the end, and on her last Mothers Day, she gave such a testimony about how she was able to witness to the other chemo patients, and the nurses and doctors who cared for her, and how she shared with them her hope of seeing her husband and being in the Lord's presence when her body stopped working. Her memorial service was attended by so many people, former members and former pastors, the sanctuary was packed. Her children spoke and they just shared what an example of faith their Mother was till the very end. She knew why she had cancer. She said her mission field was the people her cancer caused her to meet along the way.
How I wish I could be that kind of testimony, boldly sharing my faith with the healthcare workers I meet? I do try to remain positive throughout my medical treatments, and display a Christ-like demeanor.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
