Are you too busy for God?
Are you so busy doing for God that you don't have time to be with God? Of course there are many things that must be taken care of in church and in our church life but we can't get so involved with busyness that we forget who we are there for. I had one of those ridiculous busy days myself today and really just wanted to go to bed early but after today's subject I surely couldn't bail before I got this written. It is so very easy to get side tracked or just plain too tired to want to read that Bible verse or say those prayers, we tend to always find it easier to put God off than to take the few minutes it requires to read the verse or say a prayer. This week let's make God a priority if only for one week. Remember He is there for us 24/7 can't we at least take 15 minutes out of our day just for Him?

I have to confess that I spend the entire day with my TV on, because I hate the silence. When I was walking, I would spend time with God, walking my dog, Utley, down by the Delaware River at a park two blocks away. God and I meet there whenever I can, and prior to moving to this apartment, it was daily. Since moving here, my walks have been about 3 times a week, and now that I am laid up with the toe surgery,
I do have ,my morning devotions and still have been working on my Bible study, which I love. I savor each moment I am in that study, because the writer, Priscilla Shirer. The study is on Job, and is called, "Job, Lessons of a Life Interrupted." It is more personal than I ever thought a study of Job could be.
Good topic.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Oh my goodness we are so much alike!! I have my tv on all the time too. Half the time I couldn't tell you what was on, like you it's mostly for noise. Bad habit I developed when hubby was still working. We live way out in the country and I was always here by myself all day so just got in the habit of having it on all the time. Even leave it on when we leave so the critters think there is someone there!
