Life is a roller coaster

Like it says in Ecclesiastes,"there is a time for every purpose under heaven....Just because we are Christians dosn't mean we are going to have a smooth, trouble free, life, in fact we may get more challenges than the unsaved because God is "growing" us. We all have roller coaster lives whether saved or unsaved however we have God's assistance to help us thu the rough spots. Sometimes we may complain about the downs but really wouldn't life be boring without them? And we wouldn't grow without them but at least, hopefully, we have more good than bad in our lives and we can share both with our Lord and Christian friends. So if you are on a down right now just remember it will soon change to an up and God will always be there, up or down, just ask!\

God bless!

I have been struggling with the physical downs.  I hate not being able to participate in some stuff, because I am in pain.  Yesterday was a beautiful day, and my church had a picnic, at a park by a lake.  The breeze/wind that comes off the lake is always cold, and my body can't take the chill at all.  So, I stayed home.  I have plans each evening this week, after today.  A woman at church is starting up a Christian women's addiction support group.  We are meeting on Tuesday night to set the format for the group.  Wednesday, I have a support group to attend for people addicted to painkillers.  Then, Thursday, I have my Ladies Bible study, which I start every year, but fail to complete due to health issues.  I am praying I can finish this one.  We are doing a study on Jonah by a woman I saw speak at a retreat weekend, named Priscilla Shirer.  Her father is Tony Evans.  She is a gifted Bible speaker.  I am looking forward to this study, because the title is "Life Interrupted."  My daughter is doing the same study with a 15 year old neighbor of hers.  I am so proud of my daughter, as she takes the scriptures about older women teaching younger women seriously.  She has always been involved in discipleship and leading Bible studies at her church.

Sorry to babble.

Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Babble away that's what friends are for! I know what you mean about not being able physically to do things. I have the same problem, I didn't really realize how bad it was until recently it dawned on me that I hardly go anywhere or do any of the things I've done in the past. I used to be so active, loved nothing more than to spend the day outside working in the yard or helping around the church. Now because of my lungs and gimpy body I can barely walk from the parking lot to the church and working outside is impossible can't walk that far without losing my breath. I have a scooter that was my mom's but no way to get it into the car to use it! So here I sit, knitting and crocheting, at least I do something constructive. I'm making a bunch of doggie sweaters and hope to sell them at the holiday bazaars and such. Will just have to see how that goes.
