That's heavy stuff!
First of all thank you for the prayer for GD's BF he's doing much better today just a virus and kidney stone, not that stones are in ANY way fun! He's on the mend, thank you!
If you have to lift a boulder it is a torturous job for one person. If you let you friends help you it's much easier! Well "what a friend we have in Jesus" because he is there 24/7 and ready to help roll that boulder all the way to France if neccesary. We may not be able to accomplish much on our own but allow Jesus to help you and you'll be amazed at how far He can take you. So next time you have a heavy burden let Jesus help you!
God Bless!

Hi Karen,
Praise the Lord for your granddaughter's boyfriend not having meningitis. My son-in-law had a kidney stone when I was visiting them one Spring break, and he was in so much pain, he was doubled over on the ground. My daughter had to take him to the ER twice in one day, because the first time the doctor did not run the right tests, so he missed the stones. Poor thing just suffered for days with it, till it passed.
I like this topic because it reminds me that I do not have to face my trials alone. So many times, I panic, and then try to figure out how to solve the dilemma, or fix the mess, and, I confess, I forget to pray. Example: When I was moving from the second floor to my new apartment. I prayed and then asked for help from the congregation and teens at church, because my kids, I thought, were all unavailable. I had moments of panic for days before the move, because I had to wear the big boot, and I had to keep reminding myself that the Lord was in charge of this. The morning of my move, three men from church showed up, and saw all that I had to move, and made a few phone calls. Before I knew it, there were 7 adults, and five teens moving my stuff down, and three people in my kitchen emptying boxes. One of the men, an Elder, kept telling me to sit down. They had all of my stuff into my new place, the furniture where I wanted it, in less than four hours. They had a really efficient system working. It was such an answer to prayer.
Then, this week, I was struggling with self-pity, because I developed cellulitis, and could not do a lot of unpacking, as I needed to keep my leg elevated. A friend from church called, and came over yesterday to help me. She unpacked all of my clothes, and hung them all on hangers, and unpacked all of my books and put them on shelves in a closet in my room. During her visit, we got to know each other better, and had some sweet fellowship. God took care of everything through His people. In my church, we call helping others, "being the Church."
Hugs,
Trish

Oh yea I think I passed a kidney stone awhile back and it was horrific, made child birth a walk in the park! Even with me being on narcotic pain meds I was still laying it bed writhing in pain I was just about ready to have hubby take me to the ER and I went to the bathroom and poof it was all gone! Man I never ever want to do thast again!
See that's why I kept telling ya that the move would go fine. I know how churches are (at least mine) and if someone needs help they are standing in line redy to go. I'm glad they turned out for you so now you know you can count on them in the future! Don't be afraid to ask, you know you would help them out if you could! Have a great weekend!

Hi Karen,
How you feeling? My fibromyalgia is awful today. We had a beautiful day, with a cool breeze, and I was in too much pain to go to my church's picnic because of the overcast skies and cool air. The only pain killer I have in my apartment for now is Tylenol. I might as well take sugar pills for what they are worth.
As for helping people in church, I am a regular at making meals for families of sick people. I try to help out at church work days too. You should see me with a paint roller. When my Bible study leader was having her baby, I helped watch her kids, along with my sis-in-law.
Let me know how you are doing. You know I am praying for you.
Hugs,
Trish

Right now the fibro is doing pretty good because I have extra pain meds for my foot, but alas that will end soon and back to achy time. I don't seem to flare like like most, mine is just there all the time 24/7 feels like I ran a couple of marathons and dug ditches on the way! Constant aching like the worst flu ever, I'm soooo thankful my doc believes in fibro and gives me good drugs. I'm just sorry you aren't able to get relief with them, but I understand the why of it.
