Thursday thoughts
Ever notice how easy it is to give in to satan and his temptations? This is one reason to keep the Lord's word in our hearts. Now I'm the first to admit I may not remember the numbers of the verses but I do remember the verses. These are our weapons against satan and all we have to do is throw them at him he can't dispute or refute them. So next time he tries to mess with you just throw The Book at him. Then send him on his way!
God bless!

Hi Karen,
I was sick with a sinus infection earlier this week, so I understand how the crud can make you feel somedays. I cancelled my therapy appointment this week because of how lousy I felt that day.
I spent a week not reading my devotionals, nor my AA recovery meditation books, and I was a mess. Running on empty just makes me fair game for Satan. I worked a lot of hours last week, and I got sick at the end of it. I was ready to quit my job, because I just about lost it on the way home from work. I had nothing to throw at Satan. In AA, we talk about not allowing ourselves get to Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired, and use the acronym H.A.L.T. When we become that way, we are vulnerable to relapse. Same for being vulnerable to Satan's wiles. Yet, Jesus was able to resist Satan after His 40 days of fasting, because He used scripture to ward off every temptation of the enemy.
I can't allow myself to get that far away from my daily devotions anymore.
Please pray for my son, Sean. He has another staph infection in a carbuncle in his neck.
Hugs,
Trish
