Sorry I was not on yesterday, Karen.  I barely checked Facebook yesterday.  I spent a few hours trying to sew snaps on this sewing project for my grandson, only to find out I had sewn one in upside down, so I have to rip that one out and do it right tonight.

Turns out, the cyst my son had was on his chin.  I misunderstood originally.  It turns out it was a staph infection, so he is on clindamycin for it.  He was discharged from the hospital this afternoon.  I am praying he had a chance to think about his relationship with God while he was in there.  He walked away from the Lord years ago.

I did get to my AA meeting this morning, and I am so grateful I did.  At the end of the meeting, a woman shared how she can't stay sober.  Some days she just drinks.  I remember that so much during my relapse.  I would get a few weeks sober, and then just up and drink for a week or so.  I am so grateful that the desire to drink is gone.

Please pray my landlord is able to fix my dryer.  My landlady is kind enough to let me take my laundry down to her dryer later on this evening, but I really like having my dryer work.  I washed a towel and my capris that are denim, which take forever to dry on a good day.

We are having a killer heat wave, which I will take anyday.  Like a wise man once said, "You don't have to shovel Hot."  I dread my electric bill later, but right now, I am just concerned for people like my mother, *****fuses to turn on her air conditioner.  It was supposed to reach 97 degrees here today.  As of 6:00 it was 95 at the baseball park in Philadelphia.

Hugs,
Trish

Glad son is doing better I bet it is still pretty sore. I've been complaining because we haven't really had much summer yet but after the last ouple of days I quit. It's been so muggy and that always makes my lungs clog up so I guess back to clouds and drizzle, I'd love a nice clear sky but only low 70's then I'd be perfectly happy! Hope you can get the dryer fixed that always causes such a hassle. I'm so glad you made your meeting, I know it always helps you! Keeping you in my prayers!

Thanks for praying Karen.  Sean says he feels fine.  He also said tha the plastic surgeon in charge of his case is the best around.

I plan to make another meeting this morning.  I woke up with a killer headache.  I have to walk Utley and get there.  Today is a speaker meeting.  I love those.  Someone shares their story of how they drank, how they came to AA, and how life is better as a result of working the 12 steps.  I alwasy find something I can relate to, and benefit so much from it.  We have literature meetings, where we read some AA literature, and then share on it, but speaker meetings are my favorite.

Better get moving.

Hugs,
Trish
