Monday Prayer & Praise
Happy Monday all! We had a lovely weekend and visited with good friends from California, had dinner out last night. Plan to have dinner again with them and our grand daughter and her family tonight so should be another nice evening. Have a great week everyone and please post prayers and praises here. God bless! My praise for today is that the bridal shower we threw for my sister-in-law was a huge success. We had about 50 or so women, a lot from our church, there to show love to Kathy. She was overwhelmed at one point. It was so lovely.
Today, as I was checking out Facebook, my son had a post on there that he was at the emergency room. Attempts to call him were unsuccessful, and I was getting frustrated. Finally, his girlfriend called me to say that he was in the hospital, where he had a cyst that had abscessed drained. It was in his mouth, so he couldn't talk. He is going to be in the hospital for a day or two. Please pray for him. He lives in Pittsburgh, which is six hours away. I asked if I should come out there, but he said, "No." Please pray for him.
I would also appreciate prayer for myself. I am really depressed this week. I am going to bed really early every night, and getting up early. I drag myself through each day, and try to do something productive, but I just want to isolate and do nothing. I see my therapist on Friday, and I anticipate getting my butt kicked. I have not been attending my AA meetings. I have no excuse, other than my usual meeting is at 9:00 am, and I am usually at the doctor's then. But, I then miss the noon meeting for no reason at all. I tend to stay home in the evenings, so that is out.

Oh your poor son, that has to be miserable! Keep trying to get up and out, depression is so hard to fight. Do try hard to get to those meetings, we don't want you to relapse and you know how important the meetings are to keep you on track. It might even help the depression to get to the meetings. God bless sweetie you'll make it!
