I had a health scare last night, and ended up calling 911 and taking an ambulance to the ER.  I had the same symptoms and cir****tances as in October when I had a blood clot.  My next door neighbor came over and got Utley, my dog, and took him to his house.  I had never been in an ambulance before, and the EMTs were marvelous.  Turns out, I am already sick and on steroids for an upper respiratory infection, and my salt level in my blood is too low, and my Coumadin level is too high.

My older son was called by my sis-in-law, and was concerned about my health crises.  He repeatedly asked me if I was sober.  I understand his concern, but my doctor tells me when I have those symptoms to go to the ER.  I don't think son understands, even though we buried both my brothers with clots.

God is good.  For the first time, I was scared.  I prayed while in the ambulance, asking the Lord to give me more time to serve Him here on Earth, and to spend more time with my children and grandchildren.

Have a good day.

Hugs,
Trish
Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Oh yea you can never take a chance with clots, I've had my share of scares too. It can turn bad so fast that it really needs immediate attention especially when it is a family trait. You did the right thing! Besides you can't leave us we need you here, otherwise I'd have to talk to myself!
