Anticipation
Remember that song from the 70's? They also played it for a ketchup commercial at one time. Anticipation can drive ya crazy especially when you are anticipating something good. Something like the return of Christ! Have you ever just really thought about what that day will be like? Can you imagine cars running off the road, people just dissappearing left and right. Then that glorious feeling being swept up with Jesus Himself! God has promised it so you know you can continue to anticipate it because God never lies. Oh what a day it will be, gives a whole new meaning to anticipation! God bless! Karen
I remember as a little girl, getting so excited as Christmas approached. Even as an adult, I can get excited when I anticipate seeing my children or grandchildren, as they live far away. Unfortunately, I have not given the return of the Lord that same excitement. It could be that I get so wrapped up in my life in the here and now, that I don't give it much thought. It could be that the concept of His return is still very abstract to me, because I can't really imagine it, or the rapture. It seems almost like a Sci-Fi movie in some respects, yet it will be a very real experience when it happens.
I don't think I have ever shared this stuff with anyone before.
Have a good day.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

I agree the rapture is a hard concept to realize. I think what helped me understand the whole book of Revalation was reading the Left Behind series. Granted it's their idea of the rapture but it is so well written. There are like 11 or 12 books in the series but if you get a chance to read them they are awesome and pretty biblically correct. Yep sci-fi is a pretty good description, hard to imagine it actually happening!
