Buried treasure.

Do you like to search for buried treasure? Bet you never thought to look in your Bible for it. Do you realize each and every sentence in there is there for a purpose and put there at God's direction for our enlightenment. If you really want to find buried treasure just open your Bible and there is a treasure on every page. It's been awhile since I've done it but I've read the Bible cover to cover a couple of times in my life. Now I didn't always understand what I read but the more I read it the more I understand. So please take time daily to search for the treasures in your Bible and put them to use in your dily life. God bless. Karen

Hi Karen,
I have to confess, I have never read the Bible from cover to cover, and I really want to do that.  Like a lot of things, I get started, and drop it altogether.

I meed to get started again, and persevere.

Hugs,
Trish

You are so right.  My friend, Debby, once told me that reading the Bible is similar to walking on the beach.  As you walk the beach, you find some shells just laying there, if you dig a little, you find other shells, and each level of digging provide you with more precious shells.  Just a simple read of the Bible, I find such treasure, and, as I dig deeper into a verse, the treaure is greater and greater.

Now, I have to ask, since I KNOW the value of the word, why don't I spend more time treasure hunting there than I do on the internet?

I love the analogy of the beach, and shell hunting.  I love to do that when I am at the beach.  I also don't understand why I don't go treasure hunting as well.
