1 Corinthians 13:1-8

Today's message is about Biblical love.  Again, my computer won't let me paste anything from the original message by Dr. Stanley.

The apostle Paul discusses the ideal of how to love others.  When I learned this passage, I struggled with most of it, especially the part about not keeping a record of wrongs.  I was great at remembering everything someone had done to hurt me, especially my husband.  Poor guy.

As I grow in the Lord, my attitude and heart have been healed from childhood issues, and I am better able to love unonditionally, as the passage describes.  I sometimes slip back, but not like I used to.

If you wish to read Dr. Stanley's message, here is a link that should take you to it.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

It is hard not to keep a running score board of wrongs. I think we all need to work on that one.

I find it interesting that when I was married everything that went wrong was my husband's fault.  Now, many years later and after being saved, I want to apologize to him for what I did wrong!  It takes GOD's forgiveness and mercy to show us how to show love to those who have hurt us, and humble ourselves to realize what WE have done wrong.  Thank you JESUS!
