Today's Blessing

Prayer-Based Planning

Luke 14:28-30

Today's meditation came from In Touch.  I thought I would jump in since Karen is AWOL with computer troubles.  I did not quote any of Dr. Stanley's writing.

Today he is talking about financial discipline and allowing God to manage our finances.  Thi****s home for me.  I am really in debt because of impulsive credit card spending years ago.  I had been in bankruptcy for a few years, but cut it short because of a financial setback with my early retirement.

God has given me some guidance from friends at church, and I am currently working on settling my debts with the creditors.  I have given up a lot of niceties, which I would like, but don't really need.

I confess, I really have not been disciplined in seeking God's wisdom and guidance in my spedning.  I also have not been disciplined in giving to church as I believe I should.

Good stuff to think about, especially early in the year, as I look back on the past few years of readjusting my lifestyle to limited income.

Have a blessed Sunday.

Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
