Need Prayer
I would appreciate some prayer. I am bipolar, and have been diligent in taking my meds as prescribed. In spite of the good that is happening, like one year of sobriety, and planning a trip to Florida to visit my son and see a Phillies Spring Training game, I am sinking into the pit of a bad depression. I am isolating more and more, and not eating, which is rare for me. If I did not have to walk my dog, I would not get out of bed in the morning, nore leave my apartment.
I attribute some of it to constant chronic pain, as well as hating the bitter cold days we have been having where I live.
Thanks for your prayers.
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

I will look into it, but am on a fixed income, so I may not be able to afford whatever my insurance does not already cover.
It's a good idea though.

You are always in my prayers! Maybe you need your meds adjusted, I know I build up resistance to my antidepressant I take for pain and have to up the dosage periodically. Give your doc a call and see what he says about it. When you feel down even with all the good things going on it sounds like a physical situation that needs adjusting.Reach out there are people who want to help you. Maybe give Ruth a call. I'll continue to pray for you and So Blessed may be on to something too maybe a little light therapy for seasonal affectedness disorder. Lots of people fall into depression in this awful weather. God bless sweetie and thanks so much for doing yesterday's message you did a great job!
Thanks Karen,
I did call my psychiatrist about this and have an appointment on Wednesday to talk to him. I am on three different meds, and am on the maximum dose for antidepressant for the particular med I am on. And, it is supposed to help with pain, but does not really help.
I called Ruth over the weekend. A friend of hers passed away this morning, so I dont want to bother her today. This friend had cancer, and Ruth has cancer, so I don't want to be aburden.
Thanks,
Trish

I agree that maybe you should have your meds checked. I do not take antidepressants my self, but my friend has had to have her dosage changed due to building up a tolerance. I will definitely pray for you! I hope you feel better!

I sure will be praying for you. Both my hubby and our late daughter have/had bipolar disorder and I understand the "out of the blue" need for med tweaking. What is the worst part, I think, is that each time it hurts your self image. It wears you down even more. Remind yourself that this is not your fault, and just do what you can. By asking for help you have proven that you are actually very strong, and well. Again, I;ll be praying. God knows where you are.
I too, have trouble with this beastly weather. I have to be forced out to go to the grocery store or to run any errands. If I have anything to say about it my coat goes untouched for days.

Thanks so much for understanding. My daughter and her family live in Perry, Michigan, and she told me there is always snow on the ground there. We have had some deep snows since Christmas, and temps below freezing most of the time. I have to walk my dog several times a day, and my eyes tear in the cold, and then the tears freeze on my cheeks.
Hugs,
Trish
