Happy day to you all!

Welcome all, I see a new face and want to welcome Linda to our little group. Today I'm looking at the greatest command which is "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind." Can we say we do that on a daily basis? Think of the human person you love more than anyone, perhaps a child. I think that is the closest we can fathom, the love of our children. Do we love God the same way or more so? We can know all that is written about Christianity but if we don't know it in our heart, like a love affair, we have missed the whole point of being God's child. Our relationship with Him is from the heart first and formost. At times when I've taken time to just sit and think about my relationship with God it brings me to tears to know that He is always there. Those who don't know Him can't possibly imagine that feeling of unconditional, unending love He has for us. When you feel this way about God you want to spend as much time as you can with Him. So today look at your heavenly Father as the love of your life, spend some one on one time with Him and tell Him how much you love Him!
Feel free to comment, ask for prayer or share a praise with us. I'm so excited to see other folks posting. I think I'll throw a post out on the main board to invite others over here. Have a wonderful day all! Karen

As the old saying goes, seeing isn't believing,  believing is seeing.
I'm glad you started this post.

This challenges me to seek the Lord first, because I sometimes get on the pity-pot because I am divorced and live alone.  I do not have a man in my life, nor have I had one since my divorce.  I should be happy with the Lord alone, but confess to feeling sorry for myself for not having a man in my life.

If I were to devote myself to loving the Lord as I should, that longing would be diminished.

Hugs,
Trish
Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

I feel for you.......been there, done that.  I however found out that once I totally accepted that God and family was all I needed, HE brought a wonderful man into my life!!!  Took some time for HIM to work it all out and for me to be patient and trust HIM to know what and who was right for my life.  This is my first time to see this part of OH.......way to go!!!  We all need the support.  So glad a message was left on the LapBand board.
