God is good, even when I feel bad
Hello All,
I have been really struggling with my depression. God has shown Himself and continues to be my strenght these days. I hate how I feel and try to keep myself busy.
My doctor increased my anti-depressant dosage, and I hope to see him in the next week or so. I am still in therapy, praise God. I am involved in a Bible study of Esther at church. It is a Beth Moore study, and I am enjoying both the study itself and the fellowship with other women.
I volunteered to help with the youth ministry at my church, and will hopefully start in a couple of weeks. I would start this coming week, but I am involved in a family commitment that keeps me out of town on Sunday.
I know what some of the antecedents of my depression are, and I am trying to stay away from sugar, which I have been eating when I feel this way. I did three days of sugar free, but slipped up over the weekend.
Through all of this, my pastor preached an awesome message last week, and then reminded me of part of it in an e-mail. I will post it separately for everyone's edification.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Glad to hear you are doing better, I'm still keeping you in prayer. I'm so glad you are turning to God when it gets rough cause He's always there. Keeping busy is also a good thing to keep you busy and I'm sure the youth at church will work wonders in boosting your mood. I always feel good anyway when I'm around young people, they are so full of life. Best of luck and keep us posted on how things go! Hugs back!
