it has been a while....

Hi everyone.  It has been a while since  I posted last.  I really hope that soon I can post about how good I am feeling but that's not happening right now.

Tomorrow I will be 4 weeks out.  Since then I have dealt with an abcess that formed at my main incision site (I posted about this before) and the trip to the ER, the private duty nursing, etc.  Since then, I have been back to the surgeon twice because of the infection and because I am throwing up and/or nauseated every day for about 2 weeks.  He wants to try to give it a little longer before they do an endoscopy to check for stricture.

To top it off, I also have a severe urinary tract infection...probably in part because i am so dehydratd from the nausea.

I am trying to stay calm, but I am struggling.  Physically I am so weak I can't climb my stairs at home with out stopping or walk more than a short distance.  I feel like my legs and arms are made of lead.

I know this is from dehydration, lack of sufficient calories/protein, and the fact that I have now dealt with two different infections on the last 3 weeks.

I need prayer right now.  Prayer that I may feel better soon.  Prayer that I can resume work fully.  And prayer that I can be patient and not so irritable with my family.  My kids are so sweet and I am trying to hide how bad i feel.

Thank you so much.

In Christ,
Monica

(((Hugs))), Monica.
I'm so sorry to hear that you are still struggling. Perhaps your doctor should admit you for some IV fluids, to get your levels back up to where they need to be. Dehydration starts a vicious cycle with the nausea, inability to eat, trouble drinking, which causes more nausea and, at some point, kidney issues. Just do your best, hon, and insist that your doctor get you the intervention you need. Take a sip every 5 minutes. It adds up. :)
It's wearing, feeling poorly, so it's so easy to snap at those we love. I know the Lord will give you grace to see this through. You are in my prayers, and I believe you will turn a corner, for the better, very soon. Hang in there, and keep praising the Lord and rebuking the enemy.
Blessings & Intercessory Prayer,
Mary

You poor thing, I've been there, when you are so depleted physically and mentally from infection and pain. It's surely not a place anyone wants to be in. I agree with Mary I'd push the doc to have you admitted to the hospital for a day or 2 and get some IV fluids and antibiotics. Sounds like it's time for some serious medical intervention, dehydration is very dangerous. They should also be able to give you something for the nausea, if you can't get it down orally they have suppositories that will calm your stomach. Muster up all your strength and insist the doc get busy. In the mean time we will be praying for some divine intervention. Our Lord can work even without cooperation from your doc. God bless sweetie!

Praying for you as I type. A friend of mine gave me a promise box to thank me for being their for her and todays promise is Ephesians 2:6 " And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus." The other side of the card says Lamentations 3: 22-23 " The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." I pray that God heals you and I declare it in His name for you. We know that God can do all things and He will never leave you. We can do all things through Christ He is our strength. Hold on to these promises and declare them or your healing. I know God will bless you and keep you.
