Requesting prayers for my daughter's cancer surgery
I leave tomorrow night for Colorado, where my elder daughter lives. She is having surgery on Thursday for thyroid cancer. They will be doing a thyroidectomy, a lateral neck dissection, and a medial neck dissection. Fortunately, her doctor is a double board-certified ENT surgeon and oncologist. We are praying for the best outcome - total healing. Please agree with me in prayer. Thanks!
Hi, Kathy.
I'm so glad that you are able to go to be with your daughter. If you are a believer (and I know you are), and if you believe in healing as paid for by "Jesus' stripes" (and I believe you do), then you have all the requirements needed to fulfill the verse that says "Believers shall lay hands on the sick, and the sick shall recover" (Mark 16:18). That's a promise. It says "shall" (or "will"), not might. The only reason why recovery wouldn't happen is if your daughter has "fulfilled the number of [her] days," so unless she's 70 years old or older (the years we've been promised in the Word--"the number of their days shall be three score and ten"), then you just lay your hands on her, pray Mark 16:18, and claim that your daughter is in recovery, from that moment on! As her mother, you have much authority in prayer. That and praying in the Name of Jesus will be awesome!
Keep us posted. I agree with you in prayer, for total healing.
Blessings,
Mary

I stand in agreement with you. May the surgeon's hands be an extension of the hands of God, and may the surgery be successful and uneventful, and may your daughter's recovery be quick and as painfree as possible, and may she be cancer free in Jesus Name! I am glad you are able to be there with your daughter. I am blessed my Mom will be able to be with me for my surgery on the 31st. I know how much it means to me, and I know you are a blessing to your daughter! Will hold you both in prayer. God Bless.
Father,Your Word tells us that " if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven." (Mt.18:19) and Kathy is asking for us to agree with her,and we are more than two, therefore Lord, we come before Your throne believing and saying that "Your Word will not return to You void, but will accomplish what it says it will (Is 55:11). So we speak Psalm 34:7 and Psalm 91:10 for Kathy's daughter that "the angel of the Lord encamps around her and delivers her from every evil work"..."No evil shall befall her, no plague or calamity shall come near her dwelling. You Word abides in her and delivers to her perfect soundness of mind and wholeness in body and spirit even to the joints and marrow of her bones.. Your Word is medication and life to her flesh (Prov. 4:22). We stand immovable in the assurance that she has health and healing in the name of Jesus.
