Friday Coffee Talk
Coffee Talk is different this morning. Gotta share the Word! God is so awesome!
Psalm 119:33-35 says, “Teach me O Lord, to follow your decrees; then I will keep them to the end. Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of your command, for there I will find delight." Sometimes we need to be reminded that the Lord has a path for us. A plan – that if we follow – we will find delight, joy, hope, peace, satisfaction, and His prosperity. His ways are not our ways – they are beyond our understanding and we don’t see the big picture. We can only see what is in front of us – not what is ahead in the months and years to come. If we can just remember how much He wants only what is best for us – and that whatever He asks us to do is for our benefit – life would be much simpler. A favorite scripture says it plainly in Jeremiah chapter 29 verses 11-13: “’For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.’" This should be our prayer – “Lord, help me understand what you want me to do. Direct my path – one step at a time – and help me to follow. Then and only then will I be content and have peace. And there is where my hope is and where I will prosper in You."
