Prayer for a dear friend

Please pray for a dear friend from church.  Her name is Nancy.  She is in her fifties, divorced, and trying to complete her bachelors degree.  It seems she experienced a psychotic episode recently, and is in a local hospital in a mental health unit.  She loves the Lord, and has been serving in our church faithfully.  Her marriage ended because her husband suffered from bipolar disorder and was abusive.

Thanks,
Trish

Hi, Trish.
I'm no doctor, but I would venture to guess that your friend is suffering from exhaustion and stress, which may have come out as a panic attack. I'd be surprised if it were a true psychotic episode. Sad to say, she'll probably end up on multiple medications from her hospital stay.
I am praying for her. [And I'm still praying for a rain-free birthday party tomorrow.] :)
Blessings,
Mary
