ALL BETTER - PRAISE GOD
Hi, Teresa.
I wish you lived close, too, so you could come to my support group. We'd have a great time! I cannot tell you how relieved I am that you are going to the ER. God will bless you, for choosing your health over the opinions of others. I look forward to your next update.
Blessings,
Mary

Well, I didn't go to ER. Nurse returned call as I was walking out the door. She usually waits until the end of the day, but I had left a message for her sometime in the early morning. She said doc wants to call in to the pharmacy CARAFAX - stronger medicine for ulcer. It is a liquid -Take 2 tsp 4 times per day. I said what if it is not an ulcer? She said, Well we will no tomorrow. She said she would call me tomorrow morning. Yipeeee!
I do feel the slightest bit better after one dose. I am hoping I have been diagnosed correctly which was really my diagnosis. The pharmacists told me that I should have significant relief by 8 doses.
Thank you all for your prayers. Going to try to do some work today on laptop. I have to bring son to football practice and wait 2 hours. Until then, I'm sleeping.
God bless you all for your prayers. I felt a sense of urgency and I'm glad I was able to find you all.

Hi, Teresa.
I'm so glad the nurse called. I will pray that this medicine works well for you, and quickly. Be sure to keep sipping water, especially while at your son's practice. We post-ops can get dehydrated very quickly. Take care.
Blessings,
Mary

Thank you all so much for replying. I'm new on this forum and came right in being very needy. I have to admit I was in a fearful pain. And found you all just in time, with hubby out of the country and having not told another person about my lapband. Well I just had to update you all. Hubby got home about 10 tonight. Somehow I was able to prepare him a feast, roast, potatoes, carrotts, cooked in onions, and biscuits. Tea was poured when he walked in the door. He hates flying and he had missed lunch. He was so ready for a good hot meal. I'm not a great cook, but I put a lot into this cause I just love him like crazy. (18 years!)
All evening my pain was getting worse and worse. I was contemplating a trip to the ER again. I'm on the new medicine for a supposed ulcer. I just couldn't understand it. Then it was so bad that it hurt to breathe. And constant. No relief. Then I just broke down and had a big boo hoo. I think it was the combination of so much. About a month before surgery I got bronchitis and pneumonia. got better, had the lap band, then got thrush, trying to get use to the cpap, homeschool mom, stresses of life, etc. During my crying (which I never cry), but anyway crying tonight, hubby tried helping me diagnose me. Then he went and fixed me an alka seltzer. I said I can't take that. He said but it might be gas. I said there is no way it could be gas cause I am 3 week post op and it doesn't just show up like that 3 weeks delayed. He said well maybe it is the other kind of gas. And giggled at me. So reluctantly I drank the alka seltzer and instantly pain was gone!!!
Thank you for your prayers! I am so thankful. God is so good.
When you have been in pain for 3 days, it is exciting to be rid of it!

You'd be surprised how far out one can be from surgery and experience problems from pockets of gas from the surgery. I'm so glad you've experienced relief. I know, for me, taking a GasX strip every few hours helped so much. I didn't have hardly any problems with gas, and I figured the GasX strips did their job. :) Be sure to let your doctor's office know what you took and that it helped you. They may prefer that you use something else next time. I'm praying for you. Thanks so much for the update.
Blessings,
Mary
