Prayer Requests

Hi Everyone,
I am asking for prayer for a family in my church who has been undergoing some severe trials.  The husband, and breadwinner, has been sick with depression, severe depression.  He has been out of work for months now, and is doing very poorly.  He has two children, and his wife is at her wits end to help him, and keep the family sane.  She does not work, as I do not think she has graduated high school.  Their medical insurance is all messed up, and they must wait till September before he can collect Social Security Disability income.  The wife was on the verge of tears today while sharing with us at church today.  Please pray for this family.  Our church is helping them as much as we are able, and he needs to be on his medications and insurance is all messed up right now.

Also, I am scheduled for my surgery on Wednesday, and would appreciate your prayers.  I have had a killer sinus headache for days now, and look forward to some relief.

Thanks,
Trish

Hi, Trish.
I'll be praying for that family. I would encourage them to contact his doctor, to see if there's a way to get medication at a cheaper rate or even free. I know there are programs out there for that, similar to Montel Williams' prescription help program.
I bet your sinus headache, while hard to take, will keep you from fearing the surgery, because you will look forward to the relief. My prayers continue for you. Relief is on its way! :)
Blessings,
Mary

Thanks Mary,
I actually don't fear the surgery, just the pain afterward, because it is worse than my gastric bypass surgery was.  I had this sinus surgery before, and it did hurt more than my WLS, or hernia surgery.

Thanks for praying and suggesting the ideas.

Hugs,
Trish

Hi, Trish.
I'm standing in faith and prayer, that post-surgery pain will be minimal and that medication will keep it in check. Even with the same surgery, our experience can be different each time. Plus, God can do anything! Believe Him to do great things for you, His daughter. :)
Blessings,
Mary

Also have them check with their pharmacy, they are the ones who had all the paperwork for us to fill out to get my mom some VERY expensive medication that she couldn't afford. She got it for absolutely nothing for as long as she took it. Almost all pharmeceutical companies provide help to those who can't afford it and it was very simple paperwork to fill out too, not pages and pages. They should also qualify for medicaid and food stamps if nothing else but maybe even a cash grant too.
You know you will be in my prayers for your surgery and I'm sooooo hopefull that this will bring you relief from the horrible sinus problems you've been having. That is so devastating a pain and just drains you so much that you have little energy to deal with anything else. So here's to a much better quality of live in your very near future. God bless!

Thanks for the suggestions.  I will contact the church office to get their number and suggest that to the family.

Thanks for praying for my surgery.  My biggest fear is not the surgery, but the pain causing me to end up on the narcotics longer than I would like.

Thanks again,
Trish
