Sinus Surgery

Hey there,
I have not been around lately due to being really sick with fever, and bad, ugly sinus infection. ENT doc says I need surgery, and I totally agree with him.

I don't have the date yet, but would appreciate prayer. The pain from sinus surgery is worse than my gastric bypass. Could be I had better pain meds then. My concern is that being early in recovery with my alcoholism, I am a risk for relapse. My last big relapse was just before I had my hernia surgery in December 2007.

Hi, Trish.
Sinus pain is so hard to take! I'll be praying for you, that your surgery will be soon, successful, and that there will be no relapse, either in your recovery or in your sinuses. Remember that God will be right there with you. Rest in Him, and don't allow the enemy to place fear in your mind.

I just pray that the surgery will resolve the sinus issues for you. I had some sinus work done quite a few years ago and I don't remember it being terribly painful and I think I was only on pain meds for a few days. Hopefully they'll give you enough pain meds to work but not so much that it'll cause a relapse. Just remember you are strong thru Jesus and when you feel weak He is there to hold you up.
