Update and Prayer

Hi Everyone,
I have not been here much, but it is for good reasons this time.  I have had victory over the alcohol in that I have not had a drink in over two weeks.  That is a huge praise.

I do need prayer right now.  I was scheduled to be at Bankruptcy Court this morning, but it has been rescheduled to February 11th.  I have had a ton of anxiety about this, because I fell behind my payments to the court from the very start.  There has been a motion to dismiss my case for non-payment as a result.

Please pray for me that the Lord would allow me to catch up with the payments.

Thanks,
Trish

Hi, Trish.
It's so good to see you posting again. I praise God for your sobriety and pray that it continues. I'm so sorry that you're going through this trouble with making the payments to the court, etc.
I can understand your anxiety. When your court date comes, just be honest about your various issues and how they have affected your ability to make the scheduled payments. Throw yourself on the mercy of the court, as it were.
I'm believing God that between today and Feb. 11th, He will provide the funds needed to get you all caught up in those payments. Ask Him, in faith, for that. Confess that you've dropped the ball on this and you need His help and provision. Ask for His forgiveness. Be specific in what you need Him to do--the amount, the time frame, and back it up with scripture. "With God, nothing is impossible." "Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and the door shall be opened to you." "Whatever you ask in faith, believe that you receive, and you shall have whatever you asked." [verses like those]
As a single woman, the Lord has promised to be your husband, and He is Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides. Trust Him to look upon you with love and mercy, provide for this need, and then continue to ask for His help, promising to be obedient to His will for you and careful to follow through with future payments in this matter.
Blessings & Prayers,
Mary

Thanks Mary,
It is so difficult to have that faith that moves mountains when I have done so much damage to the relationship I have with the Lord so badly in the last year.

Thanks for being such a prayer warrior, and caring so much about me.

Hugs,
Trish

Dear Trish,
Keep in mind that God is not like an earthly husband, who has "limits" or requires "give and take." God's love for you is immeasurable and unconditional. He is never disappointed in you. He grieves when you move away from Him, but it's not a grieving for Himself but a grieving for you, that you are missing out on the awesome, close relationship He desires to share with you. There is nothing you can do to cause Him to love you more, and there's nothing you can do to cause Him to love you less. His love for you is perfect, right now, yesterday, and tomorrow. Not only that, but God sees you through the cross, and, so, to Him, you are absolutely perfect. If you need to confess anything or pour your heart out to Him, then, by all means, do it, and then realize that all is forgiven, all is restored...a new beginning. His mercies are new every morning, and great great great
is His faithfulness!
Blessings,
Mary

Thanks Mary,
I am surely blessed by God these days.  The biggest blessing is that He has given me a reprieve from the temptation to drink.  I also thank Him constantly for His goodness to me, because in my mortal, earth eyes, I see myself as so undeserving of any good thing.

I am grateful for the reminder of His goodness to me.

Hugs,
Trish

Thanks for the encouragement and support.  I have a problem with my web browser in that my bookmarks do not work, and it is such a hassle to find this forum for me now.  I will try to get it working in the next few days.

Hugs,
Trish
