 Hi guys~
I have been doing the Makers Diet, by Jordan Rubin, Today is the start of my second week, has anyone here tried it before or read the book? any success' to share? i am also currently reading and implemting the Perfect weight america also by Jordan Rubin, So far I have noticed a few positive changes, Less headaches, more energy during the day, less cravings for sweets, I am only going to weigh myself the last day of each month, that way I dont get discouraged and i have something to work towards each month! Pray that I would be able to keep going down this path, I finally feel like I could lose this weight without the surgery! have a great day guys!!

I have heard of that living plan, and it sounds like a good one. Keep us all posted on your progress. Yes you CAN and will release, dismiss, send away forever that weight without the surgery!

Thank you Ruth! A lot of the makers diet is eating clean, organic food, so far so good, I am really enjoying it and I am going on a 10 day cleanse soon, I also am interested in looking more into the Isagenix cleanses that you speak so highly of, Thanks again for you encouragement!

Hi.
Yes, I've read Jordan Rubin's book (the first one). While I really felt like he had it right, I wasn't ready for such a major change in what I was eating. Frankly, I couldn't see never eating another bite of lobster, which he calls the "****roach of the sea." :(
I pray that you have much success with this new eating lifestyle. May each day of fewer aches, more energy, and fewer cravings spur you on to more days of the same. God will help you.
Blessings,
Mary

In response to staying away from lobster - there are serious health risks in ignoring God's advice on clean vs unclean. When you read the "why" behind lobster and other shellfish being unclean, it will turn your stomach!

I was ready to change my lifestyle when I was ready to feel really good.

Today is day two of a nutritional cleanse (without solid foods). I feel so good. Time to go to the gym!

:-)

Ya think our Maker might just know what's good for us?

One of my favorite verses is Romans 14:17, "The kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." :)

Amen, Mary! There's this one as well:

"A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength; for by wise counsel you will wage your own war, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety." (Proverbs 24:5)

Yeah, Crab and shrimp will be a hard for me to give up because My husband and I love Sushi, and most of it has crab  in it, but I am willing to do it, and no problem giving up pork, I will just have to get creative with the sushi choices I make, no more california rolls , but all fined fish is fine, so I Know it will be fine!

I developed a serious allergy to shrimp, so that was "easy". I love sushi, but stick to the salmon, tuna, and other clean fish. I have a book called 'Moses, the First Author of Health' which details the clean and unclean food sources and tells the why. The Dr who wrote it did extensive study to find the common link between the biblical unclean animals. It was a painful read, and disappointed my lobster-loving daughter. But I've got her reading labels and shopping organic and HFCS free!

I feel so amazingly good today. Got the "day two" euphoria goin' on. You can read my blog about nutritional cleansing if you want.
