Hi, I'm Sudsie (Susan)

I am new here, I do not have a surgery date yet, but have really been losing weight since July of last year.  As a matter of fact I have lost 60 lbs so far.  I have started with all the appointments though to get thengs ready for surgery.  I went through all of this 3 yrs ago, and then on the week of surgery, everything got cancelled due to medicare's new ruling. then I gained most of my weight back and in July when I say that scale hit 5 lbs under my highest weight I told myself I was not going back there and I was goig to do this for me not anyone else.

Thanks Mary. I am having a quiet weekend,  My daughter is either at work or out with friends.  tonight she is out with friends.  Of course tomorrofw is church and I will get up and go.  Hope you are having a blessed weekend too.

Hi Sudsie (why Sudsie?)! I'm Dosha from Texas. I just made it to this board today as well.

Congrats on 60 pounds all by yourself! That's awesome and if you can do that, you will rock when you have the surgery! Which one are you looking at?

It's a nickname I have had since I was little, don't really know where it came from and the only one that calls me by that now is my older sister.  And I just thought it would be something different.   But your the first to ask about it. 

When I went through all this 3 yrs ago, the surgeon would only do the lap band on me so I'm assuming that is what he will say again this time.

Welcome Sudsie and Dosha!  This is a wonderful forum!  It won't take you long to realize the impact these Godly folks have on your day and weight battle.  Glad to have both of you here!

Hi Sudsie, Glad you could join us. I am praying for you and I hope you find just the thought of this group as comforting as I do. This journey can be a little overwelming at times and it is such a comfort to know people who love God as much as I do are thingking and praying for me. Anything you need just ask.
