Prayer

Our church has resolved to become a stronger church through prayer this year.  I am singing "I Bless Your Name" tomorrow morning.  Please be in prayer for our church as we lift up God's name and become reminded what can happen when we do pray.

If you would like to hear the song, this is a beautiful version:

Best wishes on your song tomorrow and bless your church for getting more involved. It seems so many these days are just content to sit on their laurels and wait for people to come to them. Good for you!

Hi, Laura.
God bless you, as you sing that beautiful song for Him. My pastor is preaching on prayer this morning, and I'm singing the special, "Somebody's Praying." :)  I'd appreciate your prayers, if you get this in time. :)
Blessings,
Mary

Good afternoon!  As you can see, I did not get this in time, but I'm sure you did a great job!  I did pray for this group so in a way, I did pray for you too!

How are you doing post-op?  What type of surgery did you have?  I'm not familiar with those initials.

Hi, Laura.
I trust you had a good experience singing for the Lord. I felt the prayers of others, for sure. Thank you for praying.
I'm doing well, post-op. God has been very gracious to me. I had the Sleeve (Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy). 75-80% of the stomach is removed, leaving a banana-shaped sleeve. There is no rerouting of the insides, like the RNY. There are no malabsorption issues, but one's intake is limited. One seldom feels hungry, eventually getting a "knowing" that you need to take in nourishment. I love my sleeve! :)
I've had absolutely no complications, so I am truly blessed. I know others have not been so fortunate, and I pray daily for any who are facing surgery or going through post-op complications. Prayer works! :)
Take care, Laura.
Blessings,
Mary
