Does anyone know of a good daily devotional for people who are compulsive overeaters.  I really need something to help me focus... I find myself not taking the time to spend with God here lately and I need something to help me focus again.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks

For me, I had to make spending time with God a priority or he got lost in the "stuff" I had to do.  I actually cleared a corner of my closet under my skirts and made a place of prayer.  I am still working on keeping him first in my morning routine, so I understand how hard it can be.  I enjoy Mary's devotions on here more than anything else I have ever read.  Between her and Randall, they keep me focused on God, on what I need to do for me, and for a joyful and fulfilling life.  Good luck in your search.  My minister says if you stick with the holy word of God, you can't go wrong.

Well I 100% agree with Laura that between Randal's message and Mary's devotionals here almost everyday they keep me on my toes. You really do have to make time to spend with the Lord even if you have to get up 1/2 hour earlier. God has done so much more than that for us and I find if I don't start my day with God that a. I end up forgetting to and b. my day just doesn't run as smooth as it could and should. So the way I see it God gave up His only Son for us the least I can do is take some time out of the day for Him. Plus I personally think it's very important to have a church or some type of place to worship and fellowship with other Christians, it just keeps my spiritual battery charged. God bless and do look for Randal and Mary's post here.

Hi, there.
I think it's wonderful that you want to spend focused time with God and His Word. Just getting into His Word will help you conquer compulsive overeating, for when we fill up with Him and the Word, we don't "hunger" and try to fill up with food.
God bless you, as you focus on Him and His Word. I would be blessed if you'd check out my devotions here on the Christianity forum, where they're easily found. I have them on my Profile blog, as well. I'm on my 3rd devotional here, so if you go back pages, you can find the other two. My first one went through a 60-day journey the Lord took me on. I think that one would speak to you, as I dealt with compulsive overeating issues.
I'm here for you, anytime you want to PM me, to just talk, share, pray, etc. :)
Blessings,
Mary
