MRI results.

Well had my MRI which they did sitting instead of standing (even tho the doc ordered a standing one) because they said people can't stand long enough to do a standing one and the spine lines up the same when you're sitting as when you're standing. I don' think so cause when I sit the pain isn't nearly as bad as when I stand. The nurse was not happy when I told her that. Anyway because of that the results didn't show anything serious, but because of other symptoms they're sending me to a neurosurgeon so maybe he'll be able to do something. I just want the pain to go away and get off these pain meds. If I take enough to kill the pain I'm a zombie. If I don't take too much then the pain is there all the time. I don't like pain so much!

I am so sorry that you are still in so much pain with no explanation for it.

I finally have been having periods free from pain.  My doc thinks it is osteo-arthritis for me and has prescribed Celebrex and Prevacid, so my pouch will not suffer.  So far, so good.  Pain is minimal and I am grateful.

Hugs,
Trish

Thanks hon, I'm sure glad you are getting some relief tho!! I'm really hoping that the neuro surgeon will have some plans. Two different people on the lap band board told me about a couple of different tests that can help determine the pain source so have made note of them and will talk to the surgeon when I get an appt. That might be awhile since we have a foot of snow outside my door. You'd think us NWers would be used to that much but we really don't get alot where I live usually. This is expected to be here thru Christmas so all plans are off unless I can whine and guilt DH into going to town and bringing the grand daughter, great grand and the boyfriend out Christmas day for an early dinner. If I look sad enough and mope around enough he'll probably do it for me.After all somebody has to eat all the food I have for dinner! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy that little one!

Hi.
I've been praying for you. One thing I know is that God does NOT want you in pain. I'm praying that He will lead and guide you to the right test and that your doctor will agree. I know you're trusting the Lord to bring this to a pain-free conclusion. 2009 is your year for this!
Blessings,
Mary
