Friday Coffee Talk
Our challenge today is to not get so caught up in the shopping and the commercialism of Christmas that it passes you by. I remember when Christmas was about love, family, spending time with loved ones, and family traditions. Now, it is rush rush rush and no time to enjoy the REAL Christmas. Of course, we know Christmas is about our Savior's birth, but too, it is about family and love. Why have we allowed Christmas to dwindle to nothing but shopping sprees? Nothing but a rush? It was JUST Thanksgiving and now with all the shopping and rushing, Christmas is here. I want to slow down and enjoy these next few days leading up to Christmas. Will you join me? Enjoy what is left leading up to Christmas? Slow down? Lets just do it!
So, who's up? What cha sippin' on? I'm enjoying some awesome Gevalia Ventor Spice coffee and it sure is good. I was surprised to come home and find this package on my front porch. I have no idea where it came from. Just a package with 4 packs of coffee. THANK YOU SOMEONE! HEHEHE
Y'all have a wonderful Friday and slow down!
It's mid-afternoon here in Germany so no coffee right now but this morning I was sipping on some Pumpkin Spiced Medium Roast..yummy! I use the left over cold coffee as my liquid in my protein shakes for the next couple of days as well. I put a few ice cubes, some coffee, a scoop of vanilla whey powder and maybe a pinch of pumpkin pie spice, if I feel like it, and whizz it up in my magic bullet and voila! yummy coffee shake!
I'll sometimes have regular coffee and use some sugar free - fat free flavored creamer and a scoop of vanilla or chocolate whey powder...excellent!
Good luck and Blessings to you all on your jouneys!
Hi, Rachal.
So glad you found us! As you can see, there's not a lot of traffic here, but I think that's because this forum is so well hidden. Several of us have put the link in our signature line, which may have been how you found us. I hope so. :)
Even though there aren't many of us who post/reply here, if ever you need prayer, this is the group to go to! A very sweet group, who have embraced me.
Do you enjoy living in Germany? Is that where you met the Lord? We'd love it if you'd post your testimony.
I lived in Germany as a very young child, and my younger sister was born in Stuttgart. My father was in the army. I remember the lady who came every morning to scrub the front stoop, and I remember that nearly every window had a box of flowers. Oh, and there was a "tinker" man, with a cart, who sold trinkets. Isn't it funny the things children remember. I think I was about 2 years old.
Well, let us know if there's anything we can do to bless you.
Blessings,
Mary
