bummer

I emailed medicare today about filing a claim on my own for the nutritionist since they won't take my medicare. Medicare told me that they won't cover it since they are not affiliated with the hospital. So, I called the surgeon and told them I had to see someone that was affilated with the hospital and would take my medicare. Now everything is moved back and my surgery will definittely be after the first of the year. I will see the nutritionist at St Francis on Dec 31  and the surgeon on January 6th. Wish I didn't have to move it all back like that but I just don't have $160.00 lying around to pay the nut. But, I believe that this will all be in God's timing and it is working out perfectly.

Hi, Emily.
I'm sure that was disappointing, but at least you found out now, not after all appointments were finished and a great big bill on its way to you. You know me, I believe there's always a reason why things happen, even though we may never know why. You are a believer, so try to rest in the assurance that God is in control, and He is working out His plan in your life.
Blessings,
Mary

Thanks for your encouraging words Mary. I know God is in Control. I am inpatient. I always have been, but I am just going to concentrate on enjoying Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family and let everything else fall in to place.

Ah, now I see the reason. God loves you so much that He's desiring to help you come to a place of patience, so, as His Word says, "Let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." Don't forget the first part, "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials." :)
Blessings,
Mary

Thank you Mary. I needed that. I have been getting a lot of much needed inspiration and revelation lately. I subscribe to The Purpose Driven Life daily devotionals and they have been really good this last week.

Sorry for the disappointment but I know this will all be for the better. I too am a very impatient person and God has a way of making me face it time and time again. So know that you aren't alone!

I am definitely a member of the impatient club!  I learned a good lesson about that.  I thought surely being a self pay that I could waltz into the surgeon's office and just schedule my procedure!

NO WAY- they still made me do all the psych and nutrition evals and now i have to do sme seminar's before my actual surgery January 27th.

God is definitely teching me patience.  At least I have the holidays and our Disney vacation to make the time go by a little faster!  I STILL CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT DAY TO BE HERE!!!!

I will keep you in my prayers!

I am sorry you are experiencing delays in getting your surgery.  I know how it is to wait for medical stuff.  What I can encourage you with is that things happen in God's time, not ours.  He knows what is best for us, and it is His love that motivates the events, not our will.

What got me through the summer of waiting for everything to happen with my surgery was reading and rereading Psalm 139.  I meditated on the Truth that God knows our days, and they are in His plan for me.  When I focused on Him,  instead of me, I had peace and serenity about everything.

Hang in there.  Enjoy the holidays knowing that God is in control of your surgery plans.

Hugs,
Trish
