Hi. I am Emily. I live in Oklahoma. I am a sahm to 2 kids that  are 8 and 16. I am married to George and he is the love of my life. I am new to the forum. I just found this Christian board and I am so excited about it. I started the whole WLS journey almost 2 years ago. I did all of the pre-op and was ready to have surgery and then I let my family talk me out of it. I now see that at that time I did not have peace about my decision and I was not ready to make the lifestyle change needed to be successful. I hadn't really prayed about it like I needed to. This time has been much different. I have spent a lot of time in prayer, my family is supportive, I have peace about my decision and everything is going smoothly. I am so grateful that I made the decision not to have surgery 2 years ago and that NOW is the right time and I feel God is in this with me. I go today at 3pm CST to get my psych eval results. I am a little bit anxious about that. I have my appointment with the nut on Dec 3rd and I have my pre-op consultation on Dec 9th. I am so excited. I would really like a December surgery date, but the surgeon's nurse says it will probably be in January. I know whenever it is it will be in God's time. As I am praying for that.

Hey, I know you! :)  Hi, Emily. How nice to see your sweet face on the Christianity forum board. We may not be huge in number, but our members are precious and prayer warriors.
I loved reading your story. Everything happens for a reason, and you are, indeed, ready for the surgery now. You are right, when the surgery is scheduled, it will be the right time. God is in control. Please let us know how we can support you on your journey.
Blessings,
Mary

Thanks for the welcome Mary. I am glad you posted the link to the group in your siggie. I never would of known this group existed if you hadn't.

It was just this week that the Lord gave me the idea to do that (I'm kind of slow). One of the other gals here, Kathi, said she'd do that, too. If you want to, go for it. The more the merrier. :)
Blessings,
Mary

Oh how exciting to see all the new faces recently! Mary what a brilliant idea to put the forum in your siggie, hopefully that will bring more new members here. We just love to see our numbers grow, God is doing some mighty works here. Welcome one and all!

God gave me that idea. I'm really not very bright, people! ;)  I do hope others will do the same. That reminds me...not that any of you would do otherwise, but those of us who place the Christianity forum link with our signature, let's be twice as careful about what we post, how we reply, to people on other forums. We want to represent the Lord well. We know that others are watching and listening. :)
Blessings,
Mary
