Monday Coffee Talk

Good Monday morning everyone!  Time to get up and get going.  Today is going to be a wonderful day.  Can't you just feel it?  I know I can.  Mondays are always looked down on and frowned upon, but I look at them as a welcome sight because I have been blessed to start another week.  I choose to make it a good one!  Keep Lucy in your thoughts and prayers as she starts her new job today.  Thanks!

Our challenge for today is to focus on others, not ourselves.  If we focus on "us" all the time, we become selfish and can't see what others may need.  There are people out there that are hurting, starving for friendship, and just want someone to care.  Lucy and I were watching a show last night on TLC called "Shrinking the World's Largest Man".  They showed a girl in Dallas, TX that weighed 500 lbs.  She had WLS to change her life.  She couldn't walk w/o hassling for her breath.  She said she may as well already be dead.  I thought to myself, how many lurkers are there out there that are in this same shape?  May I only say good and positive things, focus on others, and be a friend to anyone that needs me!  PLEASE LET ME NEVER TO JUST FOCUS ON ME!!  It isn't always about "US"!!  Lurkers, we love you!  We appreciate you coming here.  Please let us know if ANY of us can help you!  We would love to focus on you today!

So, who's up?  What cha sipping on?  Me?  I'm loving me some Boca Java Deep Blue Blueberry Coffee this morning from bocajava.com.  This stuff is the bomb!  It's off the chain!  Gotta try it y'all!

Love you all and I pray you have a wonderful Monday!!

Good Morning Randall,
I will pray for Lucy as she begins her job.  What is she going to be doing in her new job?

I thank the Lord for allowing me to earn my Masters in Social Work because it gives me the opportunity to work with the mentally ill at the psychiatric hospital.  I love these people, and ache to just make their day a little brighter when I am with them.

I would appreciate a few prayers for my edema, which is really bothering me this weekend.  It is causing my feet to swell and my arthritis to ache terribly.

Thanks,
Trish

Hi, Trish.
Are you taking Furosemide (generic) or something, to help you shed water? I know how miserable it feels to retain fluid. I'm praying for you right now, sister.
Blessings,
Mary

Hi Mary,
I am not taking the Furosemide any longer.  I used to take it, prior to my WLS, but hadn't really needed to till recently.  My doctor found that I have cellulitus and has prescribed an antibiotic for it.  I will share more on a Prayer Request Post.

Thanks,
trish
