Thinking of my mom
Oh my dear friend I know all of what you've said. It just seems so harsh that I'm now having to do this all over again. I spent 17 years doing it with the grand daughter till she came to live with us and now again. Isn't that long enough, I guess not. I'm trying really hard to give it over but even my dreams are haunted with disaster and I wake up crying. You're right I really physically can't do this anymore, the stress is killing me. Guess I need to pray more for me to be able to give it up huh? Thanks for your caring so much and now I see why! God bless you!
I just found some papers from last late May. The Lord called me to a fast. It's hard to explain. Maybe you know all about that--the impression and the tug to fast and pray. Anyway, I asked the Lord to give me a prayer to pray, as a theme for the fast. He gave me Psalm 51:12b, "Jehovah-Jireh, grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me." That was at the beginning of a list of things I learned or what God impressed upon me during the fast.
The last on the list is this: "Surrender everything to Me: your past, your pain, Satan's lies, the disappointments of your present, and the uncertainties of your future. I will not waste one ounce of your pain!"
A few weeks later, I went into the hospital, dying of congestive heart failure and other health issues. The doors opened after that, for weight-loss surgery. I believe God used that time of fasting and prayer to help prepare me for what was to come, the hard times as well as the miracles.
I just felt impressed to share these things with you.
Blessings & Prayers,
Mary
