Hi, Everyone.
I so enjoyed reading your replies, after I asked how you came to know the Lord. I think it helps us get to know each other better.
If you're willing, please answer the following question: What Bible character do you most look forward to meeting in Heaven, and why? (No fair listing God/Jesus/Holy Spirit, because we all want to meet Him!)
The Bible character I most look forward to meeting is David. To me, he's "a real boy"! He loved God, but he blew it. He ran some, but he knew how to repent and seek forgiveness. He seemed to know God so well. I want to hear him play an instrument, sing, and watch him dance the streets of Jerusalem! I just want to sit with him and talk to him and listen to all his stories.
All right, believers...who's next?
Blessings,
Mary

Actually I'd like to meet some of the very strong ladies of the Bible, Ruth comes to mind. These women *****ally had little power in this world had so much spiritual power. They survived horrible hardships but their faith always carried them thru. They have always been interesting to me.

Absolutely! My daughters are named Leah and Esther, and my sons are named Aaron and Nathan, so I've always been interested in Bible characters, both female and male. Oh, yes, to talk to Ruth about The Kinsman Redeemer will be wonderful! People who don't know our God, think that He looked down on women, and nothing could be further from the truth.
Blessings,
Mary

Can I name two, one from the Old Testament and one from the New?  I want to meet Joseph and ask him how on earth he was able to keep the faith, all by himself in that prison all those years in Egypt.  I just love that story so much.  From the New, I want to meet Peter and tell him I relate so much to his impulsivity and ability to stick his foot in his mouth, and how much I appreciate that he did all he did before the crucifixion, and then was able to preach on Pentecost and show the Lord's power and forgiveness at Pentecost.  It gives me hope that I am not hopeless.

Hugs,
Trish

Hi, Trish.
Joseph and Peter! Great choices! I, too, feel a kinship with each of those guys. I would have been a royal weenie, unlike Joseph, because I'm DONE with prisons! No patience, nope, nada, zilch! And Peter...well, you gotta love impetuous Peter. To have denied the Lord 3 times and then gone on to be an amazing preacher shows the power of forgiveness. One of the gospels says that when the **** crowed, Jesus turned and looked at Peter. I'd ask Peter what that "look" was like, but I have a feeling it was a look of compassion and forgiveness. Otherwise, how would Peter have been able to stand it.
Thanks for sharing, Miss Trish.
Blessings,
Mary
