Hi, I am Kim.  i used to post quite often, but have been so busy with my new life that I haven't been by lately. However, I think I need the support again as I am starting to eat carbs and can feel my shorts getting tighter.  I don't want to go there again.   Any dietary suggestions to get me back on track and of course your prayers are appreciated, too. Hi, Kimmy.
Welcome back. The only thing that really works to get off carbs is to get off carbs. You're going to have to get tough with yourself and either wean off carbs or go cold turkey. It will be rough for a few days, but you'll soon feel so much better. Of course, push the good protein. You can do it. Some find that if they go back to the liquids-only stage for a few days, that helps. It's hard, though.
Blessings,
Mary

Oh I think this is a battle we all wage! I agree with Mary the best way is get rid of them all together, not that I'm real good with that, tho! Also maybe tracking your food with one of the websites like thedailyplate.com sometimes just being more aware of what we are putting in our mouths helps. Just know that you aren't alone with this one!

Hey Kim!  I agree with everyone and say it's hard getting off carbs.  I really have to make up my mind and plan to have protein snacks available for when I get a craving.  I do better, also, when I just think of one day at a time:  sometimes it's one hour at a time!  I try to remember the hard work I have put into my health and eating patterns, and I tell myself that potato / corn / pasta isn't worth blowing all that hard work.  You can do it.  We are here to help

Hi Kim,
A lot of people on the PA forum swear by the 5 Day Pouch Test.  I have not tried it yet, too chicken,  Here is the link.

I would like to try it someday, but just cannot get it together to give it a go.

Hugs,
Trish

Kimmy,

plenty of water and protein and no carbs or soft drinks of any kind! Congrats and you've come too far to stop now! Good kluck and keep me posted as how yu're doing. Many times I just eat lunch meat and cheese rolled together, or likema HUGE chef salad. Everyone is diff, some can exercise it off, and I can just no time since I set at desk all day. If that changes, I will be better off also. I will oray for you, and please keep me in your prayers as well.

Congrats,

Kevin ( Hoosier Kevin) now in Raleigh North Carolina
