Tuesday Coffee Talk
Good Tuesday morning everyone! Time to rise and shine. It's gonna be a wonderful day. I hope you slept as good as I did. Just had to get up a bit too early this morning. Allison has to go back to the OMF Facial Dr. today for a follow up. I'm going to get a kick out of it when he sees how well she looks! She's my miracle girl!
Our challenge today is to forgive. Too often, someone does us wrong and we harbor ill feelings or we can't forgive them. If you hang on to unforgiveness it will eat you alive. It will grow like a disease inside our hearts and mind until it can destroy us. Unforgivness destroys loving relationships. It can destroy families. It's a terrible thing to hold on to. I talked with a young man just last week that has had very bad temper problems. He will lash out at his mom, brother, step dad, even strangers. I asked him why he felt the need to do this so bad. He pulled out a letter that he toted in his wallet. The letter was written in 2000 when he was 8 years old. It was a letter to the man that split his family. He vowed revenge to this man. I told this young boy that not only did he harbor unforgiveness in his mind, but he was carrying it around on his person. We can not carry around unforgiveness. On us, or in us. It will kill you and destroy you. Let go. Learn to forgive. It may be hard to forget, but you can forgive. Imagine if the entire world NEVER forgave. Imagine that Jesus Christ never came to forgive? WOW! Where would we be? Today, I challenge you to forgive everyone that has ever done you wrong. You will feel like a million pounds have been lifted off your shoulders. No matter what ANYONE has EVER done to you, you CAN and MUST forgive them! You can do this!
So, who's up this early? What cha sipping on? Me? I'm about to go to the kitchen and get the coffee pot going. Then, I'm headed to the front porch swing for a little bit before I get Torey and Allison up. We are going to make it a day in B'ham today. If anyone is interested in Lunch around hwy 280, let me know! I'd love to have coffee or lunch with some of you!
Love you all and ya'll have a great forgiving day!
Randall
Good Morning Randall,
I was just discussing God's miracle of forgiveness in my heart with a friend last night. She pointed out how I used to be bitter and unforgiving toward my ex and his wife, and now I can go over to his house with my granddaughter and socialize with them as occassions allow. That is a miracle of God working in my life. First I had to see my need for forgiveness from God, and then see the people who hurt me through HIS eyes.
I am sipping my Folger's French Vanilla. I am a creature of habit, I am afraid. I find something I like, and I don't move from that.
Have a blessed day in Birmingham. I am working at the hospital today.
Hugs,
Trish
