Important questions/PRAYER
Hi guys,
It has been a long time. I have been so stressed out, the fact that I need to be on the boards more and don't just tells you where my life is.
I have a couple of serious questions.
1. Does anyone find they still have a hard time eating any kind of decent meal.
Like if I eat more than Protein shakes, yogurt w/granola, coffee, I feel sick, yet I feel so very weak from this and my stomach hurts most of the time.
2. I joined a gym and because I am so weak and tired I don't feel like going? Any suggestions.
3. Do any of you have spouses who seem to sabatoge your attempts to go the extra mile.? Every time I buy something new to try before I can get to it, He eats it. I have bought ricotta cheese two weeks in a row and before I could get to it it was gone.
4. I have not been able to go to a follow up w/my surgeon since three months out because we lost our insurance. What do I do. I have not had one level checked, I honestly don't know where I stand physically.
Other than that I am coming up on my 11 month surgiversary and I am down 110lbs. I am at a plateau and don't know what to do to break it. Could it be as simple as I am not eating enough and not excersising consistently because I honestly cant see eating less than I do this far out, I am lucky if I get 1200 calories a day in.
Anyway, stress is the worst of it, we are still where we were at. Losing house, no jobs, I am now going on disability because I am in so much pain in my back. I have to get an MRI, but have to figure out how to get it paid for.
I ask everyone, please pray your hardest. My husband Darrin has had this job that he has been given, but it is being held up by the President of the company because he cannot be strapped down for 1 day. Please please pray that all will come together very soon. Darrin is out of unemployement in 5-6 more checks and we will literally have NO INCOME what so ever.
I have never been so scared in all my life. I am trusting that all things are going to work out, but sometimes, I am scared they won't.
I would appreciate any help through the pray line I can get.
God bless you all and I have missed you all so much.
Trish
Hi there stranger, so good to see you back!! Can't help you with the eating part cause I have a band. As far as excersize I find that if I can just make myself go it gives me more energy of course I'm getting 1200 cal. a day. Sometimes it helps if I just say I'll go and only do 5-10 min. on the tread mill and by the time I do that then I'm ready for more.
As for the spouse he usually doesn't want alot of what I eat. Try tofu nobody wants that and it's high in protein, no flavor to it really and I just add a marinade for some kind of flavor. I also hide stuff way in the back of the frig where everybody is too lazy to dig for it. My hubby is good tho and very supportive, if I tell him something is for my special diet he leaves it alone. I don't mean to sound unsupportive but from this and other posts it seems as tho your husband is a major part of your stress and problems. Now I'm certainly not in favor of divorce but sometimes we have to make a hard decision for our own best interest. He seems to do things because he's allowed to do them. How about an ultimatum that he either gets on board and gets his whole life together or you will have to leave so you can get your life together. It sounds as if you both enable each other.
If you are in such dire financial straights do you qualify for medical assistance thru DSHS or medicaid? You really need to get your blood levels checked, that could be very serious to let it go. Do you have a primary doc that would let you make payments on a checkup? He can do the tests and send the results to your surgeon for evaluation.
You know sometimes God leaves us in bad situations until we take the actions He is trying to get us to make and that may not be what we want to have happen. Pray for His guidance and then truely listen to His reply maybe He is telling you to stand up for yourself with husband and everyone else, then He can make changes in your situation. You just have to make your health and stress levels a top priority and make the changes required to succeed in changing them at whatever cost. I wish you well and will indeed pray for guidance for you.
