I know that some would accuse me of being a Martha sometimes, but I really prefer being a Mary and just sitting and learning at the feet of Jesus. I am just finishing teaching a Bible study on the book Captivating by Staci and John Eldredge and in it she says a really cool thing "Jesus does not want servants who love Him, but lovers who serve Him." I love that because it is so true. Jesus wants us to love Him first and them serve him and the body of Christ as a natural expression of that love. We don't serve as servants, but as his beloved. I just love that and feel it is so true Anyway, it has been one of those tiimes over the past few days when I have been just really working hard for the women's ministry of my church, actually I work for God,but you know whay I mean. We just got done with a fancy type tea (I'm so NOT fancy) that was catered (by about 5 of us) for about 70 people and it was exhausting but in a good way. I honestly have not been home except to sleep from Wed night until today. It was worth it though!! It was a mother/daughter tea and God was exalted, relationships were restored and we all just got closer as a body of women. Now I am organizing a trip to Kansas City to see Joyce Meyer, but that is not nearly as demanding so now I can breathe!! Plus we are taking off the summer from Bible study, but I have surgury THIS MONTH so I really HAVE to have time off. I have applied for a job at a Christian school to teach as well. I want my kids in Christian school anyway and I am called to work with women and their children so this makes sense and as I pray it feels right in my spirit. I am an English teacher and my baby is going to school next year so I am ready to go back to work. God will work it out though. Its His plan that is important not mine because He knows better than I do what is good and what His plans are for me. Sorry to be so long. I love you guys. Hugs, Amy

My goodness how busy you are! I bet it's very fullfilling tho. I used to do more in my younger days but have slowed up a bit. It's good to know there is another generation working to take over where we leave off. Keep up the great work and good wishes on your up coming surgery.

Amy, I used to be involved in church at that level, when I was younger and energetic. Oh, those were the days. I would like to get more involved in my church's women's ministry, but have yet to figure out how or when, as I have two jobs, and may be moving out of the area. The Lord will show me when and how. I am also a teacher, but I teach in an urban public school. I am certified to teach middle school English, Social Studies, and Math, as well as Elementary School in Pennsylvania. My favorite subject to teach is Social Studies, which I now teach in 7th grade. I also have a Masters in Social Work, and I work in a psychiatric hospital during the summers, which I much prefer to teaching. It is my first love, as I feel God called me to work with the mentally ill. I will continue to pray for your surgery, and know that your summer will go smoothly. I hope you have a blast at the Joyce Meyer event. I would love to see her someday. Hugs, Trish
