Looking for others with Intracranial Hypertension/PTC

I have something called Intracranial Hypertension (see my profile page for info) they say the symtoms can go into remission if we lose the weight. So I was wondering if there were any other IH'er /PTC'ers out there?

I didn't have Intracranial Hypertension, but I did have hypertension and took medications for it for over 5 years. I was always told "if you lose the weight, your blood pressure will resolve itself....." Well, it did. I stopped taking my hypertensive medication just before my Lap RNY 12/15/2003. For one month after surgery I took Hydrachlorathiazide every other day and then no other medications for hypertension. It was (and still is) very normal. I would hope the same is true with your particular type of hypertension. Best wishes....and my prayes. luvitsunnyv
