Prayers & Thankful For's 4th March 2008

Good am, Prayers going up for Trish; that she be feeling better dealing with the flu and that her spirit/soul are being lifted after the passing of her brother. Prayers going up for Andrea (Luvitsunny's request) that she be recovering and getting a little better each day. Prayer's for the gentlman fireman/paramedic who was killed while having lunch with his family yesterday in addition to others being wounded and the gunman killing himself. Prayers for a friend who's ex co-worker's family is struggling after he hung himself this past weekend and his 15 year old son found him in the basement. Prayers for a 15 year old girl who was 8 month pregnant that ended up life & that of her baby after being ridiculed and ostracized and never being told she was loved. A LOT of tragedy. What are YOU thankful for today? I am thankful for those in my life *****mind me I matter and I need to take time to focus on the little things. I am thankful for getting some rest for longer than usual last pm. I am thankful for the lessening of dramatics in my life. Enjoy your Tuesday & give things to the Lord. He is all knowing & loving. Kat, so many sad things happening in this world. That just breaks my heart for that young 15 yo girl. I have a 15 yo daughter and just can't imagine doing that to her, no matter what. I ask for prayers for my friend Brenda. She is having a CT scan today to see if the cancer has spread. Please pray that it hasn't and that the surgeons got it all. She starts radiation treatment on the 7th. Please continue to pray for momma. She is having trouble getting her platelet count up and keeping it up. Pray for her immune system to start working and fight off this cytomegalovirus off. We need to also lift one another up each and everyday. I always try to remember to pray for my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, that is so important. I am so very thankful for the Lord allowing my momma to stay here with us a little while longer. I am thankful for Godly friends like Brenda. I am thankful most of all that God is always there watching over us. I am thankful God woke me up this morning as I forgot to set my alarm. I am thankful for my family even though my girls are at the ages they fight quite a bit (13 and 15). The girls in my family (mom, sister, niece, my girls and I) are going on a little vacation this summer and I am thankful for that. It has been a long time since we have done this and I am so looking forward to that. I pray everyone has a very blessed day! Love, Shel

Kat, thank you for lifting me up in prayer. I went back to work today, and it was hard. I am physically drained, and exhausted right now. Please continue to pray for my family with my brother's passing. Pray that the gospel message that was given at his funeral would not return void. Pray for a student who confided in me that she had suicidal thoughts after her grandmother died last year. She is in counseling, and the school counselor knows about this. I am thankful for my friends and family. I am thankful for my church, and for friends who keep bringing food to my sis-in-law. I am thankful that my mom is still in town to help with my nephew.
