I would like to introduce myself my name is Kathy I am a soon to be 42 year old lol I have 2 wonderful children ages 10 and 4.. I love in Maine where it is just way to cold at times.., But saying that I have a fire burning within that has been rekindled.. I put my life in Gods hands having this surgery a few weeks ago.. I have been pushing Our wonderful ever present Lord out of my life for to long.. I am thinking my weight problems have had a bigger effect on my life especially my spiritual life than I care to admit.. This is my new life . No more trying to handle it all on my own.. I am happy to have found you all. I feel as though I can talk freely here about Jesus and what a powerful friend I have in Him.. My mom prayed for Jesus to be guiding my surgeons hands and my surgery could not have been more perfect.. Thank you all for listening and I am sure you will be seeing more of me in the future.

Kathy, we are glad you found us! This board can be quiet at times but I come here several times a day just to check. My name is Shelly and I am soon to be 41 (on the 7th) and have two beautiful daughters ages almost 15 (2/25) and 13 (those very trying years!) and my dh and I will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary next month as well. Whew, February is busy around here. We just recently moved to AL from GA but we are originally from Arkansas. Anyway, I am 5 years out from my surgery, started out at 317 and got down to 177 but have within the last two years have put on about 20 pounds but I'm still very happy with where I am at, much better than 317 pounds! Anyway, feel free to ask questions or anything. Shel

I am fairly new here too, but would still like to welcome you! Looking forward to some good talks and I trust you are healing well from your recent surgery.

Thank you all. I am healing quite well ty.. I had so little pain I was amazed.. No pain meds needed at all since I got home. Took half a dose of the loratab the first night and had such strange dreams I decided to just go without.. I am doing my 3 mile walking videos already and went out on my snowshoes today.. I have lost a total of 49 pounds since I started my journey in September. I am feeling so much better already..

Hi Kathy, Welcome the the Christianity Forum. We have a terrific fellowship of people who love God and desire to be obedient to Him in all we do. I am a 50 year old, divorcee, mother of three grown children, and grandmother to the cutie on my lap in my avatar. Look forward to getting to know you. Hugs, Trish
