WORD for Today!!
Good Morning everyone!!! I am praying for you all to have a safe and fun filled day!!!! Enjoy the snow if you get any!!!
This morning, I want to breifly talk to you about journaling (or blogging). I know this may seem silly, but.....Have you kept track of the changes that are going on in your life since beginning this WLS journey? They may be physical changes to you, your life or your family. I think its a blessing to reflect on where God has brought you from!! I know for myself I have been doing a lot of reflecting in that I KNOW that I had this surgery, at the right time, right place, right surgeon and the right job to be able to get the surgery!! GOD orcheastrated the whole process. AND He even brought me to YOU!!!!!! He had everything planned out and even when I messed up, HIs plan kept on moving along!!! I know its so easy when you think of your past, to think of the bad things, or when life wasn't easy, the difficulties. BUT I encourage you to reflect on the GOOD things that have happened along the way!!! When I look back, its hard to believe that its only been 3 1/2 months since my surgery!! I feel like I have lived my new life for a lot longer!!! I am becoming the person I was meant to be!!! The "old" me is fading, WOOHOO!!! I love it!! SO I encourage you, since many of you will be home today, to start a journal of all the wonderful things you have learned, or the events that have changed YOU since this journey began!! WE are all changing into the person god intended us to be, why not start something new? Afterall, you never know whom God may bring into your life and the things you write may actually bless that person and encourage them to start this wonderful journey!!!
Today's scripture is:
Philippians 4:4-9, it reads,
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."
I am praying for safe travel, blessed family days, and for each of you to have the best weekend of your life!!
