Daily Prayers & Thankful For's 14th January 2008

Good am all, Prayers being asked for our friend Ann who is in the hospital awaiting news after a weekend of mystery with what has been speculated to be a mini stroke. I have no new information just yet this am. Prayers for those struggling with the goings on in life. Its sometimes easy to forget to thank the Lord for the blessings in our lives when everything is going right yet we seek Him more in tougher times. So, prayers that we seek Him at all times. Prayers for our friend Shannon still recovering from back surgery but seems to be doing great really. Prayers for another friend who seems to be stuck with a heater issue. Lots of "help" but no one really helping to alleviate the problem. I pray that this be a lesson about keeping one's word & "walking the walk/talking the talk." Prayers for my Gpa as he's fallen & broken some ribs. What are YOU thankful for today? I am thankful for the wonderful opportunity to spend time with great connections this weekend. I am thankful for the safe travels we had. I am thankful for coming to know that others are seeing what I have & have also realized that things aren't always what they appear. Good Morning Kat, Praying for my brother, as he is still immobile from his fall down steps last week. He saw the doctor Saturday who just said he wants to see him in a week after some swelling goes down. Nothing is broken, but we don't know about any tissue damage at this point. Praying for a friend on the PA board's mom who is having back surgery today. She has been in the hospital sick with pneumonia too. I also ask prayer as I quit one of my three jobs, and need the faith and discipline to keep my finances in order while I get ready to move to a smaller apartment. Also, praying about the logistics of that. I am thankful for being able to get some cleaning done in my apartment. I am thankful I was able to get a walk in yesterday. I am thankful for being able to attend church and worship the Lord yesterday. Have a great day. Hugs, Trish

Hi guys!! God is so good!!! I'm thankful that my husband is saved and amazes me every day with the awesome things that God is doing in Him. I hardly recognize him. I''m thankful for my 2 babies (OK they are 5 and 12, but still). I am thankful that God is faithful and that He answers our prayers and will meet our every need. Please pray for me today because I am seeking God's will about whether or not I should get a job and if so which one it should be. Also my car went to the garage today and my mechanic called and told me that it wasn't worth fixing, so I am needing a new car-a used car that is in good shape. God is also working on my mouth(like teaching me w to kep it shut etc.). Man it is hard to grow sometimes because my flesh loves to talk, but my spirit man checks me and I have to stay quiet. Its awesome though that God loves us enough though to work with us even though we mess up sometimes. My most serious prayers are for my husband and his family. His mother is in the last stages of the e word (I can't spell it, but like lung cancer kinda). Unless God intervenes and heals her, she will most likely not live much longer. It is hard watching my husband, his brother and his father (my in-laws have been married almost 38 years) go through this and try to hide their hurt like many men do. My husband, Praise God, is now livng for the Lord and prays with me and I do get to see his tears as I pray with him. Please lift them up and ask for peace for all involved. I love you all-Amy
