WORD for today!!

Good morning everyone!!! I am sure you all had a blessed night and are ready for a wonderful day!!! God has some amazing things planned!! Are YOU ready?? This morning I would like to know if are you ready to be free? Free from the chains and the weights that may have kept you in unhappiness, despair, depression, fear, mistrust or loneliness. Jesus says in John 8:32, "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." and in John 8:36, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." When we began this journey of WLS, all of us had personal goals. Many ranged from "living longer so we can see our families have families of their own", some "want to be able to be more active in their lives", others wanted to "be able to be more healthier and happier". Whatever your goal is, it IS attainable!!! Why? Because we are on the path to FREEDOM!!! Freedom from that which has kept us entrapped, ensnared to our pasts, addicitons, unhealthy lifestyles and desires. We want to be free so that we can live!!! SO how do you get free?? I can say from experience, as I have had freedom in other areas, its a process. (I am also on this WLS path too) The first step is admitting to yourself and acknowledging to God that you have an issue and asking him to show you specifically how to address that area. It could be through pastoral counseling, a counselor or simply God revealing to you the area, either in prayer, in His word or through a person. Once he does this he will show you the steps needed to resolve this issue. I encourage everyone that goes through this that you really take this time and spend it with God, developing your relationship with him, praying and reading his word. You need to fill that area in your life that God is changing and removing, with Him!!! Once that area is dealt with, You have freedom!!!!! Does the devil like to remind you and bring temptation in your life to try to get you lose that freedom? Yes he does, you just need to remind him that Jesus won the victory already and send him packing!!!!! Freedom is a process and I KNOW everyone can experience this in their lives. Once you do, you can help others to have freedom too!!! One word of advice I wrote to another person is that, many times God will deal with you one area at a time. Why? Because if he took every area in your life and changed them all at once, the change would be too great for you to handle. And he says in his word, that he knows how much we can handle and would not give us more (Matthew 11:30). So......as you experience freedom in each area, God will show you another area that needs to be addressed!!! WE ARE ALL A WORK IN PROGRESS!!! Take this opportunity to allow God to heal your heart, mind and body during this process or even if you are at goal. You are changing, why not allow God into the process and let him change your "whole" person. As your body, mind and spirit all affect each other. AMEN! My desire for all of you is to be all that you can be in Jesus!!!! He wants the best for you and nothing less. Lets let him do what needs to be done, so that we can become the man or woman of God he wants us to be!! I am going to pray for you now! Dear Lord we come to in your precious name and ask that as we go through this very personal process that you would show us what areas in our lives that need to be healed, delivered, changed and set free! We ask that you would reveal to us the steps that need to be taken to achieve the freedom that you desire for us to experience. We also pray that we would feel your presence and peace during this as well. We thank you that you are helping us to become the person you want us to be and that we are all doing this for YOUR glory and not ours!! In Jesus name, AMEN! Have a blessed day my friends!
