A very serious discussion

This is funny in a way, but it made me want to cry too. I found out today that during our holiday celebration with my husband's family that my 5 year old had a very serious discussion with his 6 year old cousin. My son told him "my whole family are Christians, even my dad." First it made me cry because last Christmas he could not have said that about his dad because he was not a Christian. Four years ago, I wasn't either. I was about to leave my husband to persue a very sinful and stupid (isn't all sin stupid?) lifestyle when God found me and wooed me back to Himself. Today, my whole family is in order and my husband and I love each other with not just human love, but also the God kind of Love. Our God is so amazing. Secondly, I would have never thought that he would have said something like that during the hustle and the bustle or lots of good food and fun, but it was so common to him that he just shared it with his cousin whose family does not live a Christian lifestyle nor do they pretend to. Wouldn't it be awesome if it were that easy for all of us to share what we believe. Maybe I am the only one, but I have to pray for boldness prior to sharing my faith almost every time. Maybe that's why Jesus took time out for the little Children and told us to be like them. I guess today I was the student and my baby boy was the teacher.

Amy, When my daughter was in sixth grade, she received an assignment to do a poster of her astrological sign. She came to me because she did not want to do the assignment because it was against her understanding of what scriptures taught about sorcery. I told her that she had to talk to her teacher and ask for an alternative assignment and explain why. Her teacher asked if there were other students who had trouble with the assignment due to religious beliefs, and it turned out there was another Christian and a Jehovah's Witness. Colleen's friends asked her about the Bible's teachings on this matter, and she began taking her Bible into school and they would study it during lunch. She went onto college and got involved in Campus Crusade for Life and did a lot of evangelism and discipleship training then. She has always been bold for the Lord. Your son could have the gift of evangelism, and who knows where the Lord will lead him. Praise the Lord our kids can teach us boldness. Hugs, Trish

Trish-again you have made me cry. Could you stop that?? LOL. You are a true exorter. I'm sure you have many other gifts the Lord has given you, but that is definitely one of them. Thank You. I pray that my children walk in whatever path God lays out for them. I used to want them to be rich, now I want them to take others to Heaven with them. What a difference 3 years makes. Hugs-Amy

Thank you, Amy, for confirming what I always thought was one of my gifts. I only share what God is teaching me through my life experiences. God, through the Holy Spirit does the rest. Have a blessed weekend. Hugs, Trish
