Brusied and Bloodied from the DS board, but I survived

Thanks Vicki, I did ask, OH removed the thread, and it is gone. I never knew such vile and hateful perole were on this type of board. Everyone I have met through my wife's WLS have been so nice and suportive. It really just took me aback. But now, I guess they think they have won, but we all know better. As Jesus told his disciples if they were not welcome "shake the dust from their feet". This from a "PASTOR"???? Who now is on the DS board being all sweet and nice and is the "DA DARKSIDE PASTORMAN?" Are you kidding? HMMM.....what does he REALLY believe? Do you believe that Jesus told his disciples to "shake the dust from their feet" or not? And if you believe it then why aren't you DOING it? May God have mercy on your souls........

I'm thinking the good man of God is following in Jesus' footsteps. Jesus was always critcized for spending time with "tax collectors, publicans, and sinners" Certainly, judging in your vile and malicious manner is not Christlike at all. You should be ashamed. May God have mercy on your soul.

I think it's irrelevant what he believes (other than the fact that this is a "Christian interest forum"...maybe he's just "interested"). Like you, I was concerned. Unlike you, I was not concerned about his faith, but rather his motives. It appeared to me as if he was playing "double agent". Considering the fact that there have been "professed Christians" reeking havoc on the DS board lately, I wanted to protect my DS FRIENDS from more torture at the hands of such people. The postings have been disgraceful and it saddens me to think that there is someone claiming to be of a faith that is soooo not exemplified in their own actions. Therefore, I am now overly cautious of anyone "professing the Gospel" on the DS board as it seems they are only there to stir the pot. I found this especially true of the preacher man considering he was an OH member for two months, but didn't post until this past week and started with a "how about we pray together" thread. I'm still not convinced his motives are pure, but that is immaterial now as I've done my part in warning my DS friends of his dual postings on this forum as well as on our DS forum. So, as I'm sure you can tell, I was the one who directed some from the DS forum here. Frankly, I have no idea who you are or your history with the DS people/board other than a few achieved posts that I've seen. However, after reading your post about the DS and it being responsible for making people "nuts", I am horribly saddened and disappointed. Should a newbie read your posting, it might scare them away (out of ignorance) from the DS. Also, this is the type of gossip (and, yes, any "authenticated material" is gossip), spreads like wildfire. It wouldn't surprise me if a RNY patient posted an "A DS patient said that they're nuts because of the malabsorption of the DS" thread on the main board. Again, this would certainly scare me if I was new to online learning and took everything at face value. Since you are already a DS patient, you know and fully understand the life saving benefits of such a surgery. Why would you want to deprive another of such a gift? In conclusion, let me leave you with this. I once heard a sermon regarding the prodigal son. The minister explained that "God doesn't love you anymore than He loves anyone else...the atheist, the agnostic, the Gentile or the Jew. You'll NEVER meet ANYONE that He doesn't love any more or any less than He loves you." I think this is something that every Christian should keep in mind whenever he or she comes into contact with another person...whether it be in the office, at the grocery, or on an online forum.

Hey Doug, WELCOME to this board!!!!!! Sorry you had to go through that!!!! Many times I have had to hold my tongue when the "WLS wars" have been going on on the RNY board. Now I just ignore it and don't even read the threads anymore. I pray for these people. Thats all you can do. Congrats on your upcoming surgery!!! WOOHOO!!!!! Yes that is why we are here...you can talk a little about God you know the generic god..but do not even talk about Jesus or you will be attacked for sure. may i just say that the whole 'CHISTMAS' thing was hijacked from the pagans and no REAL CHRISTIAN would celebrate it.it has NOTHING to do with christ .any holiday that leaves a HUGE PART OF THE POPULATION wanting,especially the children could never be endorsed by the jesus i was taught about.it is the celebration of the SUN GOD not the SON OF GOD.just the fighting that goes on about how to title it is unchristian.is it merry christmas or happy holidays.jesus said to be NO PART OF THIS WORLD.so hijacking a pagan holiday would be a huge part of this world.the one commandment of celebration he did give HIS people was the memorial of his death and "christians"have adultrated that with the easter bunny and eggs which also are from pagan roots.so how are any of you christians being christian(christ like)when you are mixing in with the pagan babylonian rituals of hundreds of years ago.if you going to be a christian(christ like )than BE A CHRISTIAN.JESUS would not have a xmas tree or the yule log or the lights any of it,HE didn't even want HIS birth remembered it was HIS death that was of so much consequence,That's why His date of birth isn't in the bible anywhere!

I have always blindly celebrated Christmas thinking I was loving and honoring my God. NOW I understand why I have always been so depressed at this time of year. Thank you because your post made me do research for myself. Now I don't feel so terrible that I don't have gifts for anyone this year.....and no money.....and HEY.......I'M FREE....I will never celebrate christmas again!
