Well...The Tree is up
OKAY!
The Tree is up and the branches have been arranged and rearranged and are now in order. No decorations on it yet. Year after year I have decorated with the same decorations for the most part. (Hallmark) Baby's 1st, 2nd,3rd, and so on...... with the exception of 2003, that year my step-son was in IRAQ and I did all Red/White/& Blue. So anyway I don't have a clue what to do this year. I am thinking I might want to do a particular theme but then again my son has a sensitive side and I am concerned that not using our Hallmark ornaments might upset him. So that is my current drama. I know, I know....not much Drama, but that's my little life.
Theme ideas anyone?????
Cheap....Cheap....Cheap!
Love,
Lisa
Hey there my friend. Thanks for the phone call and concerns about Aunt Frances and Uncle Earl.
I saw a tree the other night on HGTV that was beautiful. It was a straight maple limb, not too fat, that they had drilled random holes in. In each hole was a branch of poinsettias. Like the one's you get at Wal-mart. They started at the top cutting them short and extended them down all the way. It was beautiful and unique. Would I ever do it, nah. I'm a traditional tree guy. LOL
Love ya!
Morning Lisa - I agree with Randall I'm a traditional tree gal but my lil' bugga Nora has really broken several ornaments so I'm guessing next year will be a lot of newness. I was honestly quite angry about a few of them but honestly all of it could be lost (as in Randall's aunt & uncle's house fire) and so I have quickly regrouped my thoughts & have realized all can be replaced EXCEPT those we love the most. Thank the LORD they are all right & I owe my Miss Nora big lovin! As for our tree its got white lights and just about 1/2 handmade 1/2 store bought ornaments. My fav color is purple but I'm thinking these guys would FREAK if our tree ended up with purple everything. Hopefully what ever you decide works out for everyone! All best....Kat
